Our international summer programs offer a wide range of intensive studies in vocal technique, style and interpretation, languages and diction, movement and acting, role preparation and career development.
Performance Opportunities
IVAI performance opportunities encompass fully staged operatic productions, opera scenes, concerts with orchestra and public master classes, given by distinguished guest artists, most recently including Thomas Hampson, Patricia Racette, Diana Soviero and Dawn Upshaw, as well as resident faculty members Joan Dornemann, Mignon Dunn, Sherrill Milnes, and Michel Sénéchal, among many others.
Admission
Policy IVAI's admission criterion is very selective. Admission is usually determined by a live audition. When distance is an issue, a recorded audition may be accepted.

Cost:
Fees for the summer program vary based on length and location. Our scholarship program is supported by private donation. A limited number of scholarships are available for all voice types and will be awarded to some individuals of exceptional talent and merit.
